I don't have anything to add about your pup's condition, but please know that I was heartbroken to read about this. How absolutely devastating to lose a dog at such a young age. My heart goes out to you and your family.

I am so so sorry for your loss.....you're video of Fletcher is very touching. I have a 4 mo. old sheltie (and 3 more 
) and I couldn't bear to go through what you have. I hope you find another one soon. As I had always said: it's not to take their place, but, fill their space.
It must say I have just recently joined this website, and I had read 3-4 post of us losing our loving companions, and I have cried more in this last couple of weeks than I can remember. Don't know if I can handle any more

Certainly at times we can feel this way. My prescription is spend more time on the puppies board, and the photos, and the Sheltie Chat, and the.... (especially the puppies.)
Its life, in all its wonder and tragedy. Sadly, if the tragedies weren't so heart rending then the wonders wouldn't be so wonderful.
In my profession you have the big 'family event' where you perform a euthanasia, and the patient looks at you with those big brown eyes, and everyone tells stories of when they got the pup - with college kids remembering how they got the pup in 4th grade- and where they have been since. And when its over and they have left you just want to throw your hands up and say, 'I can't DO this any more', because of the emotional investment.
And you compose yourself for 15 minutes, and suck it up because you have no choice, and the next call is a shy, brand new Sheltie pup with wide eyed adoring owners absolutely enthralled by every move the little imp makes as it rolls over and licks your face... and you realize its just all part of the 'Great Story'.
As Tolkien says in Lord Of the Rings -'All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.
I will not say: do not weep; for not all tears are an evil.'
The video is just so lovely, and positive. It was a short life, but a life well lived. Yes you cry - it's hard to watch, but you also laugh. I love how Fletcher gets scared of the little toy and runs away in a circle, then comes back for more. It emphasizes not just the loss, but mostly the joy of knowing him, if all too briefly. It is just so beautifully and lovingly done. I also thank you for sharing.
And Sheltiemom - spend some time on the puppy board.
