Just wondering: how do I look at topics I start or things I add on to?

Your threads and posts are probably waiting for approval by a moderator. This is done to avoid the forum being inundated with Spam (which happens quite a lot). So it depends on when one of the moderators is on. And I was a bit late this morning (my time) getting on to approve posts.

After a while though your posts will show up automatically and won't need approval, again just to make sure you aren't a spammer. Spammers nowadays are becoming very creative.
 
once you are no longer moderated, to look at your posts and threads, click on your user name and when your profile comes up, click on statistics- will let you see threads that you started and posts that you have made.
