Laser crazy

So I had Sca's table out to put flea treatment on him and when I moved stuff off I found his laser. Now I thought the batteries were dead and I had not used it because he got over obsessed but when I saw that it was working

Well it is back put away. After totally blasting around the living room (we're talking shoulder dragging paw slides) I decided I had him WAY to stirred up and better put it away for the night. Well the next hour he was searching for that red dot :rolleyes2: No more laser for Sca

Laser

Sandy is the same he absolutely LOVES the laser pointer. I don't know why, he never catches it. He knows I make it work with the pointer but I don't think he understands why he can't get it. It's a good way to tire him out.
Another thing that works on a sunny day is a mirror; he will follow reflections all day. Found that out by accident on Sunday when I noticed him staring at the ceiling, my watch was in the sun :)

LOL, Tess adores the laser pointer. Nobody else seems terribly impressed, but she and the cats will get into heated scraps over it. I know she understands thats its something I control, cause she'll give me the pouty look when I put it away.

I wonder where mine is? I must admit I forgot all about it! Handy for keeping the boys energized during those long winter months.

Unlike Sca, my boys are couch potatoes, so they would tire themselves out pretty quick. No danger of over-excitement for too long here!

Something about the laser that puts him on a mission and he is a pretty determined bugger as it is. It was cool watching him zoom because he was on a tear x10 but the next hour of him pacing because he KNEW that red dot was somewhere did have me feeling guilty :o

He learned what light meant after 1 play.

Our boy Buddy loves to chase the laser light also.
He is only 14 months old and when it is rainy outside we have to play light at night to get him tired so we can watch a movie.

At the end of the game my husband slows it down so Buddy will pounce on it. He then turns the light off and Buddy thinks he caught it. We both clap and tell him good boy while he struts.

That's sweet.

Angel goes nuts over lasers, sunlight reflections and flashlights. She will stare for hours and pounce until it's put away. Maybe if she could catch it like Buddy she would be calmer about the reflections.

Great strategy! Thanks for sharing that!
