Let me ask everyone this.........

I decided to look at it this way: If there were an Academy Award for Best Performance by a Sheltie Mom Going to the Bathroom, the Nattering Springs Sheltie Academy would vote for me in a heartbeat. "I'd like to thank my Mother, who taught me always to wear clean underwear..."

Too funny Chris!!

This has me laughing. Imagine being escorted and accompanied to your bathroom with 7. We have a long bathroom area that connects the kitchen to the back sunroom. When no one is home but me puppers all follow me into the bathroom. In the morning when hubby showers, two or three of them lay by the shower door to help dry him off by licking legs and feet. Our Foxman has to lay next to the potty and wall while I go potty.

It really is a group effort for them. If you should close the bathroom door Maizie has to scratch at the door and if you do not open the door immediately she howls until you do.

What I find amusing is when they are going potty they want privacy and will not go until you look away

So true! We've been training Sadie to go in a certain part of the back yard and still have to go out with her. She gets this insulted look on her face like, 'Do you MIND!'

Oh this post is hilarious!

Bacca doesn't just LOOK, he has to get totally involved! He even helps me pull the TP off the roll! Such a big help!

And showering is a whole new experience too. Bacca's best trick is to wait until I get into the shower and then haul the bathmat out into the bedroom. He sits on it waiting until I get out. I swear he does it on purpose because then I have to drip water on the floor, which he then dutifully comes to lap up. It also so helpful to have both a towel and Bacca to dry me off! Yep, when he's done with the floor, he moves to my legs. (The stupid thing is that I have a water dish in my bedroom for him so he has no reason to lick up my bathwater!) :rolleyes2:

It's a race every morning to see if I can dry myself before he can finish licking the floor and come for me! It's a tie game so far!

Yes, Bacca does the same thing....He always poos with his back to me and his head looking back at me with a defeated look on his face. Stupid thing is that I actually avert my eyes!! If only he gave ME the same respect!

So funny!! It amazes me how similar all our babies are! Everytime I think Madi is doing something "weird", I come here and see she's perfectly "normal". Well, at least in the sheltie world :biggrin2:

If I do not latch the door, she follows right behind me. If I do latch the door, she will whimper and throw herself up against the door trying to make it open.

When she is able to get in, she brings me her toys. I guess she figures she I'm sitting, it's play time

If I'm showering, she stands with her head laying on the edge of the bathtub, whimpering until I'm done

Barb, Kia does the same thing. What's up with that ! Do they think we can't dry off ourselves. Chris you get the Academy award, Clean undies and all !!

LOL sounds like we are all doomed!! I haven't gone to the bathroom alone for almost 20 years! I'm accompanied by either my own dogs or some of the fosters. There have been times that I have had five or six dogs in the bathroom with me at one time. it can get a little crowded.
But the most memorable was my Magic (no longer with us) who used to come in the bathroom and deposit a ball in my shorts as I'm sitting there... She was a real hoot!!!!!
