long time to find a rescued Sheltie?

I got one! I've been really busy so I haven't had time to send an update.

I had been considering contacting a breeder to see if they have any 2-5 year old dogs when I was called by rescue. We currently have a rescue Sheltie, he's still in his 2 week trial period but I don't think they're getting him back. My boyfriend fell in love with him immediately and we're learning his little quirks, but he is seriously cute!:yes:

He is really drawn to my boyfriend so he may end up more his dog than mine, which is okay. He's very well trained and a joy to be around. His bark is surprisingly louder than I expected, but it's not hard to get him to stop. He has this odd quirk he gets really excited and makes a squeaky noise if you open the dishwasher or oven doors, I'm not sure why.
 
Congratulations! I'm glad to hear that your patience was finally rewarded. It sounds like a great dog and he's fitting in well. What's his name? I'll be looking forward to seeing pictures when you have the time to post them.
 
The dishwasher now has a Sheltie rinse cycle right? Sca licks all the plates and silverware he can find when I open the dishwasher. Amazingly he can tell when it is clean and leaves stuff alone.
