Got a call from my youngest son one day at work. Smokie has passed. He was our 15 yo sheltie. He was found out in the yard, by my wife. He is now over rainbow bridge, with not a pain and happily playing. His brother from another, our mini Dachshund, patrick and our Cat Bandit do miss him as do us all. Rest in Peasce, Smokes( AKA Hoover)

Rest in peace Smokie. So sorry for your loss Tim. I know it is hard but you will be together again one day.

"with not a pain and happily playing"
Could we all just end our days as your beloved Smokie.

Even though you and your family have been fortunate to have him for 15 years, so it is such a great pain to lose our fur babies.

I really feel with you and your family.

Tim,

I am so sorry to read this post. I know Smokie was a loved member of your family and it will never be the same with his passing. May the fond memories of Smokie fill your heart. He will never leave your soul and is at Rainbow Bridge healthy and without pain... waiting for your family to join him.

You were blessed to have Smokie for 15 years! Passing with your family at home is also a blessing many of us have never experienced.

Prayers and virtual hugs being sent to you in your time of need. :hugs

Tim, my deepest sympathy to you and all your family for the loss of Smokie. Fifteen years is a good long life for a sheltie and Smokie was lucky to spend those years with a family who dearly loved him...but I know that doesn't make the pain of losing him any less.

My heart goes out to you -- 15 years is a long time to love. It's so beautiful that Smokie slipped away in his own yard.
