It's been a while since I posted any updates on Millie.
She's doing GREAT. Runs, jumps and acts like any other puppy. Shes extremely healthy and has grown ALOT! She's a big sheltie and we like to think theres a bigger breed mixed in there somewhere in her recent gene pool . She doesn't seem to have that typical sheltie look. At 7.5 months old she now stands at a bit over 17 inches and weighs 15kg or so ( around 33lbs). She lost all her teeth too.
Some of you know that she broke her leg 4 months ago and had to get a metal plate put in. The bone that she broke ( tibia) has healed 100% HOWEVER her Tarsus/Metatarsus bone growth seemed to have been affected. Xrays didnt show any damage to those bones so the 2 different vets ( specialists) have no idea why. So now the leg that she broke ( the lower part of it far from the fracture point) is about 2cm shorter than the other leg. Vet told us not much we can do about it.The bone that broke has healed nicely so they want to take out the metal plate and they think this might potentially help her her since she is still growing a bit. Millie does limp but doesnt seem to be in any pain whatsoever. She runs like crazy , jumps everywhere and always wants to play.
This weekend we're going to the vets again and we're going to talk about getting her spayed and Taking the metal plate out. We're hoping that they can do both of these procedures at the same time.

She's growing up into a big beautiful girl! Love the nose close up!
My sympathies to you for the 4 weeks rest for Millie. My Blue has to be crated for 4 weeks after braking his scapula. It's only one week into the four, but I'm deafened and exhausted. Good luck again to you both
