Monty is coughing/choking almost none stop

Well I didn't as big a hello as Mr Broccoli did lol, I got a wag, a woof and then he started squeaking Mr B
He's still exhausted so has to lay down after doing anything briefly but his little mischievous look is there haha. It was hard not being able to pet him but at least Mr B is looking out for him.
He's staying in overnight again as they are still nervous letting him go when they don't know exactly what caused it. He also needs to get his strength up before they are happy to let him go. If everything goes well then he may be ready by 5pm tomorrow. I've dropped off some puppy goats milk for him to drink as they couldn't get him drinking water either.

It's the steriods that helped him so it looks like he will need to stay on those for a while. They have blood tests at the lab, his scans were not showing an obvious cause of the fluid so it's still a bit of a mystery.

It was really hard having to walk away again as he got a little upset but he's so tired he started falling asleep again. Really great to see his little face though as I have to admit there was a time I thought I may lose him. Can't wait to get him him and spoil him and to make him more comfortable when he gets back I've made his No1 Mr Broccoli a matching bandage :smile2:

Darren, smiling through my tears, as I was so worried he might not make it. I know he was so glad to see you even if not as exuberant a welcome as for Mr. B. I can't wait for you to get him home and I really, really want them to find the cause for you. Hopefully the bloodwork will have a clue. Love the Mr. B with a bandage. Monty is forever blessed to have you be his dad.

Heaving a big sigh of relief here.....

You said it perfectly, Sharon!
Once we see a picture of Little Monty with Mr B home with his family I will be raising a glass of Champagne to toast to their good fortune as a complete family once again!

Heaving a big sigh of relief here too!!!! That little bandage on Mr B is priceless!

I could not have said it better than Sharon either. I'm so glad you got to see him, Darren. You know he'll be ecstatic to come home, even if he's tired. Hilarious that Mr. B got a better greeting...I know you don't mind. I agree it's critical for them to find the cause, so a bit more time to do that is worth it, and to make sure he's on the road to recovery.

As you said, he'll probably be on several meds when he comes home. If you don't have one, you'll also want a crate or a pen where you can confine he and Mr. B since he won't be full strength and will need to rest a lot, with one of his favorite beds inside to make him comfy. He'll be getting into mischief again before you know it!

Thank you again everyone, I don't think Monty realises just how big of a support group he has, he is super blessed. You've all been amazing with your support and advice, we/I couldn't have gotten here without you, and I appreciate every comment! :hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs
I'm hoping we get answers as the last thing I want is for it to happen again because of something silly we missed!
Thanks for the tip Ann, I hadn't even thought about making him a little pen. I'll get to work on his little penthouse tonight haha.

I just love the bandage on Mr B Darren!
Never was there such a special dog as Monty that has truly touched so many lives! I know we all think our dogs are the best but there's just something special about Monty....

No......No, bad Lisa, stop it or you're going to make me cry lol :hugs

It is sooo damn dusty in here right now!!
We just got back from picking up an item on the other side of the city from here and first thing I do is log on to see if you posted. This is the best news!
I would be getting hard copies of everything in his chart. Every test, everything, taken home when he leaves. Tell them ahead of time so there's no excuse.
Thank you God for watching over our beloved little Monty!
Yah you need a Montyville in your house for awhile. Isn't there a closet he loves?? LOL
