Just getting back to these posts....

Daisy was not happy! She is cool towards other shelties, and will curl her lip if I am petting her and another comes up for attention (no petting parties with Daisy around!). I ended up spending lots of time with Muffin, a recent rescue, who is so sweet and needy...a sponge soaking up affection...until Daisy copped a real 'tude and either was giving me a stink-eye, or giving me the "talk to the butt" action.....:rolleyes2:

As soon as we got back into the car to go home, my loving sheltie returned, I am happy to say. One of the reasons she was still up for adoption after 14 months was her foster's felt she needed to be an only dog. They love her very much, and wanted to keep her, but knew it would not be the best thing for her.

They are right.

Maybe it's a good thing that Daisy wants to be an only child. It would have been hard not to want to take one or more home if she wasn't. Lovely pictures, thanks for sharing.
Hopefully the gossip mill has gone on to better things while you were away. Sad that people have nothing better to do than talk about others. Stay strong!

Please keep in mind that talk is cheap five cents a mile and it takes a bigger person to rise above it have fun with those Sheltie babies that love you uncondiontionally
