Mr. Pip at Eight Months

 You're right, I couldn't part with him now.....things would be too quiet. Although at times I do miss having a dog that you can take out and just be relaxed with and trust them lol,
Mom used to say Spitfire was my penance for Sca. He is complaining now because I am not doing what he wants. Somewhere in heaven Sca is giving him the look.

He looks like mischief, but he's actually a very good little pup ... unless there's any loose paper lying around, or he takes a fancy to digging a hole in the yard. The paper I can cope with, but the hole-digging has to come to an end. Fortunately he doesn't do it often! He hasn't grown much since a month ago. Right now he's about 15 to 16 inches and 25.5 pounds. He's an absolute joy to have around, and though I'd like to say he's never in the way, the fact is that he's always in the way, importuning me to play when I have other things to do!

Here he is challenging me to chase him upstairs.

My little guy, Finnegan, has dug a great hole under our raised deck. He stores his toys there and brings them out to play sometimes. I’ve found my sheepskin slippers and Crocs in there occasionally (only the R shoes of course). He, too, likes to chew on paper and the paddings from under our Persian rugs. He’s 1yr, 13”, 16 lbs. quite a change from our former 21” 50 lb hunk of fluff. Good luck.

Thanks! He's doing much better now ... it's actually been several weeks since he got into the toilet paper, although for a while he had somehow found out how to tear off a single sheet and take it out to the other room in order to chew it up. I caught him in the act just one time and yelled at him, and maybe that had a beneficial effect! He also hasn't dug a hole in a while, but I did catch him nibbling on the backing of one of my bath mats. But I can't blame him too much for those little things, because he is a puppy after all, and he minds very well for one.
