My first Sheltie is this normal?

Thanks again for the great information. I have no idea what her pedigree is or if she has ever had babies. The vet did estimate her age at 4 or 5 but again she acts much younger but since I have never had a Sheltie maybe they are very playful even when mature.

I was kind of hoping she would get a thicker coat before winter because my Buddy and I love to go for walks and play out in the snow and I dont want her to freeze with our Iowa winters.

Another question about the Forum. Is there a place to post pics? I know other Forums have a sticky thread just for pics and I didnt see one here.

If you are not a premium member, you will need to use something like Photobucket, Picaso, or Shutterfly, and then post the links.

Glad to have you on the forum. Emma's coat is not too thick, she lost a lot of fur blowing coat in September. Liam at 10 months does not have a heavy coat either but I suspect once the cold weather comes, that will change. Noah always had a very heavy coat, as did Hamish.
