My runs

I promise not to complain about my husband's video taping skills for the next two trials. I admit, I could only watch a few. First and foremost, congrats on the first place. Awesome! :) And secondly, the courses looked like fun. I love watching you run Trax. I always think.....will Koji look like that one day? Minus about 3 yps? No matter how badly you think you do, it's always fun watching Trax just go for it!

Also, just curious, did you train Trax to go around your legs? I love that. Makes me want to teach Koji cuz usually, I have to walk in a circle and sometimes I get dizzy. It'd be better if he could just go around me and get back into the right place.

Yes an "around" command is one of the first things I've always been taught to train my dogs to get them sat at my side. It definitely helps get him back on track when he gets off course. Otherwise he would just bark and get under my feet. It's super easy to teach amd really helps.

I know a couple people who use this method to "reset" their dogs. I've seen it used a lot at the weave poles, and have heard a couple professional trainers recommend it.

Yeah my instructor always starts her puppy classes with that command. It's simple and you can do it at home easily. He's trained that whatever hand I use, he wraps from that side. It also helps keep them focused on your hands ;)

Do you think you could PM me with instructions on how to train it? If you remember how you trained it ;)

I hate doing circles. 1. it makes me dizzy. 2. Koji takes obstacles sometimes and 3. what a waste of time when he can go around me like Super Trax!

Isn't that always the way, he's Looking good, he's so big and tall looking compared to Cosmo who looks like somebody chopped 4 inches off his legs and the midget stormy at 13". I must say the take out of the spred was most impressive and well done :wink2:.

Yeah he loves taking out jumps whenever possible :lol: Just kidding of course. At least he's not a reactive dog that freaks when something wrong happens.
