Does anybody else collect Sheltie names to use on that next puppy? I had Beckon's name - Norwood Beckoning Breeze - at the top of my list for years! Here are a few of my favorites:
Lady Glencora
Merida
Francie
Farran
Bryce Barker (I'm a Nats fan!)
 
I guess since I rescued so many I kept their given names!

Might be fun just to list all the Sheltie’s names we have owned for others to consider for their next pup?

Pretty sure if and when we get Oberon a little sister she'll be Desdemona. Oberon follows the Samoyed, who was Mercutio. Cats have included our current Casanova (used to be Cassiopeia until the vet found manly bits -- and might go back!), Persephone, Athena and Apricot (named by a then three year old who called her Apricat and thought it was hysterical).
 
Had one picked out for Sca but he earned his with his mirror dog obsession. Had one for Spitfire but it didn't fit. After a couple of weeks he was being himself and it occurred to me what his name was. Did sneak Jarl into his full name and yes he thinks he is royal LOL. Angus was sudden and I thought I would have time to plot a name but didn't. His name just occurred to me one night. Mostly I have to see the dog to name the dog.
 
We definitely had a short list for our first Sheltie, with Skye being the favorite and that's what she became. Skye's The Limit.
Asta's name we got before we met her, it came from meeting a fabulous Border Collie girl with that name on a ranch in Canada. She was an awesome dog, so we decided next girl would be Asta, hence her name Hasta Be Asta.

Ally came with her name. We were going to change it, but it went well with Asta, so it stayed. All You Need Is Love (Beatles theme for her litter, apparently. She should have been named She's All That!)

Brooke came with her name, and Brooke was actually on my mental list of names for a Sheltie, so I was happy. Registered name is Icon Pretty Baby (Brooke Shield's first movie, LOL).

Faith came with her name at a time when faith was exactly what we were missing, after Asta's sudden passing, so it had to remain. Her registered name is Icon Lucky Dice (mom was Roll The Dice).

Elijah/Eli came with his name and we wracked our brains trying to think of an alternative, having only had girls names before!
Just couldn't come up with anything we both liked so he remains Eli or Lyjah and Elijah when he's naughty. ;) Karosel Legacy.

I have a couple of names I love in reserve,
Darcy
Meadow
Breeze

and Steel, if we ever had a blue merle boy!

Sandstorm is the perfect name for Sandstorm. I am determined to get a girl puppy and name her Minnie. I think a small girl named Minnie would be adorable.
 
I wait until I see the personality. Lucky, I was lucky to have him. Lil' Lady was Lil'
and Buck who does not give a hoot, nothing really bothers him, noises especially.
My setters were picked for easy calling with one and two syllables. Winston and Speck.
