Need Help with Blood Test Results

I haven't posted in a while but Crouton has been rawfed for aboout 3 years now. My problem is that I took her to get a senior physical and blood test (she's 12 now). Well we got her results back and the doctor told me she's perfectly healthy. Only her BUN/Creatinine levels were really high and that coupled with a really high cholesterol level and her senior status will ultimately result in kidney problems in the next couple of years.

He also said thank goodness we caught it early enough so that we can put her on a senior dog food because this is a perfect case of food not fitting the dog.

I don't know what to do and I'm really scared. She's doing really well on raw, seems really healthy and I am currently on the search for a holistic vet to get a second opinion, (if anyone can recommend one in the Los Angeles CA area I'd appreciate it.

If someone can take a look at her results from the link below and give me input I'd really appreciate it.

What kind of food is she eating, maybe you could make an adjustment on what type of animal she is eating.

I just know I wouldnt feed my dogs senior food
 
I personally wouldn't worry about those numbers. My dog just came back with similar BUN/Creatinine ratio, and my vet wasn't concerned. It's normal for raw fed dogs to be a little higher.

Senior food is a fast path to an unhealthy dog. What a shock your dog would have going from a healthy, digestible diet, to a carb-laden, meat-less indigestible diet.
 
Tripe is a good raw food for dogs with kidney disease and is low in phosphorus. A holistic vet would be a good idea so that they could help you bring the levels down some. Ask anyone who has a dog with kidney disease and I am sure they would tell you to do anything you can now.
 
There is a great group on yahoo that may be able to give you some great advice. k9kidneys. They have compiled so much info on Kidney Disease so I would say since the levels aren't very high at all it would be a good place to start to get this under control. They are very helpful and can advise on diet, supplements etc.

Best of luck, when my Gypsy passed her BUN was over 100 I forget what the creatinine was.
 
Thanks for the advice. She is currently eating premade raw the brand is small batch. I'm definitely taking her to see a holistic vet just to make sure she doesn't have any kidney issues on the horizon.

I just know I'm definitely not putting her on senior foods.
