Hi. Been reading threads here for a couple years now - even since a neighbor told me about the site - but never had any reason to post. Wife and I have owned 5 shelties over the past 25 years. We currently have a 12-year-old male named Hunter, and a 2-year-old female named Betty. Had both since they were about six weeks old. My in-laws are essentially unlicensed breeders. They own several purebred Shelties and give the puppies away to people they trust.

We also have several teenagers around, and a fair number of fish.

As my user name indicates, the wife and I are both University of Oregon graduates, though we currently live in Morgantown, West Virginia. Long story how we ended up here, but the short version is that we moved east for my wife to attend med school, and she ended up getting a job teaching at that school. We're looking to relocate back to Oregon, but probably not until our kids are grown (oldest two are in college).

Hello to you and your whole family, welcome to Sheltie Nation. As you've seen over the past couple of years, you have found the best Sheltie site with many people who can offer a fair amount of knowledge. Having lurked for awhile, you are aware that we would love to see pictures of your fur baby's. :smile2:
