Hello! I'm new to the forums and thought I'd say hi. I'm also new to shelties AND dog ownership in general.

I got my little guy when he was 13 weeks, and tomorrow he will be 5 months. His name is Indie, and, I think we just lucked out, he is the best puppy. Alreadys knows a lot of tricks, he's fantastic off the leash (great to bring him to the parks for a run), he plays fetch, doesn't chase anything he shouldn't, and he's not too vocal. He's a little shy, but he came from a sheep farm, so moving into the city was quite the transition for him, and he's gotten a LOT better. Currently, he's about 12", 12 lbs. I've had a couple people question me in regards to him being a purebred... I'm aware he's a bit of an oddball colour-wise, I haven't been able to find any pictures like him, but he is in fact a purebred. I'm guessing his colour is the reason behind him being one of the last puppies picked, but I wouldn't trade him for anything.

PS. The pictures attached are between 3.5 months to now.

Indie is very cute !! Looks sheltie to me-got the legs crossed and all...my Sally looked similar when a puppy. She has the rings around her eyes too and this gives a different appearance to the face. She really started looking like a sheltie when her coat came in- this could be the case with Indie too !!

Hi Laurkenn, and welcome to the Forum! Thank you for posting Indie's photos. Indie is a very pretty and adorable puppy. May he live a long and happy life with his family. :) I have Sandi, my newest Sheltie. She is 18 months old.

Oh I LOVE Sally! Nice to finally see another dark faced Sheltie... I have to wonder why it's so rare.. Anyways, they're beautiful regardless, and it makes them unique! :)

I am really looking so forward to his coat coming in. I was hoping he'd get a bit bigger.. I'm sure he'll grow another inch or two still but I think he's the runt of his litter lol. All that fur is sure to make him look much bigger though!

Thanks for the warm welcomes. Any pictures of Sandi? :)

Thank you all! :)

Olive is a cutie! I love his colour, very unique. I've actually been asked if Indie was part shepherd because of his face.
