New with a thyroid question

I've found this thread fascinating -- not because Callie has thyroid problems that I know of, but because I do!

I was hyperthyroid after having my 2nd child, and was treated with radioactive iodine to kill my thyroid, which makes my hypothyroid as a result. After lots of time trying to keep my levels correct, I think Dr. Shelli's comment is spot on. It's not only the thyroid levels themselves, but those levels combined with the high THS levels that indicate there's an issue.

True to form, I picked up Emi's Soloxine and received NO information on how it's supposed to be administered. Researching online I see that it's supposed to be given on an empty stomach and no calcium or soy within an hour of taking it. Does that mean I can't hide it in a little bit of peanut butter?

My husband had the same thing done a few years ago ;) So Emi has allergies like me and hypothyroid like my husband.

Callie got her soloxine in squeeze cheese for years- no issues from that as far as I know....

yes empty stomach, usually 45min or so before a meal..and I gave it with a little piece of chicken. Its small enough that its easy to get down.
 
Emi gets .2mg of Soloxine twice a day. She is getting better somewhat. She has a little fur growing back. Not as much as the new vet would like. But her sleepiness is less, she's playing more, and not shivering all the time. We are taking her in for a skin biopsy at the end of the month.
