Now Theo is having issues....

Oh wow....I hope that it doesn't end up being this. So sad.

It's interesting b/c yesterday I was trying to figure out how to describe the high-stepping he was doing. He'd be wobbling and swaying and then take off on the tips of his feet almost. Then his legs would spread really far apart, like he was doing the splits, and he'd slide down and just bobble. I've watched a lot of videos and they resemble the way they act. Obviously most of the videos are way more severe but the bobble head, the paws really far apart, and the walking on his toes are all symptoms and it would explain why it affects both of them. :(

I am so sorry to hear about Theo. I had the same thoughts as Ania, calling the breeder. Hopefully for what you are going through answers will be found.

My heart goes out to you, and hoping its an easy fix.

Sadly, the breeder isn't an option. We adpoted Hadley (sheltie, who is the mom) off craig's list and were totally scammed. She was supposed to be spayed when we got her... not only was she not spayed she was pregnant! And it turns out the lady has over 20+ dogs and is a dog flipper/BYB .... I would love to track down the dad of the puppies, but we're not sure what breed the dad is even. Although, I highly suspect poodle. There is a neurologist in NC who specializes in cerebellar and movement disorders and she's looking into Hadley's background, all the medicine she received when she was pregnant, and also into the puppies history and looking at many videos we have. I never thought it would be this bad. :( At least we have an amazing vet who hasn't charged us anything and is really interested in finding out what's wrong. Although we will most likely have to go to specialist if we want a sound answer, it's still nice having people be so kind. I truly appreciate it.

So happy you have a great vet who is offering his services free to get to the bottom of this. I'll be keeping you and the pups in my prayers.
