When my seven year old daughter walked up to me this evening, with Kasey trailing along behind her like usual, I could tell that something wasn't quite right. In response to my question she mumbled
"I had gum and it fell out on Kasey"
I stared at her uncomprehendingly for a minute. You had wh ..... oh no oh no oh no!
And sure enough there it was a large wad of electric green extra chewing gum matted into the hair behind Kasey's ear.
"I tried to get it out" the seven year old explains, clearly relieved that I wasn't screaming.
Ahhh, that explains the way its mashed in there I think to myself as I grab the scissors.
Kasey of course took it all in stride. It really can't take too long to grow back ... can it?
