Oldest dog in the world dies

"Pusuke, a male cross breed, died at Sakura in Tochigi prefecture at the age of 26 years and nine months - equivalent to more than 125 in human years."

He's a cute little dog - looks like a Pom x Shiba Inu and he still went for a walk twice a day. His owner had him since she was 16yrs old and must be heartbroken. I only hope mine will live that long.

I can't even imagine having a dog from the time you're teenager to into your 40's... How many changes did that owner and dog see together? Marriage... Kids... New houses... They're like old friends.

His owner is going to miss him very much!!!!

I'm picturing a bunch of dogs tapping their feet and looking at their watches and saying "What the heck took you so long? We've been waiting for ages!!"

Wow! One can only hope for this kind of life for our dogs, and for us, for that matter! A very long healthy life, then a sudden peaceful passing.

It would be so hard to lose one after that long - my god. We had our kitty for 18 years, from our wedding onward and it left a huge hole in our hearts when she left us. She had just always been there, ya know?
