I took Cisco to a local ASCA trial last weekend and we ended up having a blast! It was a great show for our first trial and we ended up doing very well. I was prepared for us to be a wreck but I was proved wrong! We had a few mistakes but now we know what to work on. Luckily ASCA allows training in the ring; you will be eliminated but it's a great option if you need to step in. We had one elimination because Cisco broke his start line stay to sniff something so I went back and set him up again. Bummer too because it was such a nice run! Oh well. I would rather have him do it correctly and not Q than let him get away with it and have a hard time trying to fix it later.
I am so proud of him and us as a team. We've only been training for a year now and Cisco just turned 8 years old this month. He really enjoys it! And I will have to admit I am catching the bug too
Cisco earned his Novice Jumpers title, Open Jumpers Title, Novice Regular Title, a Q towards his Novice Gamblers title, a Q towards his Open Regular title and got to play in Elite Jumpers! And to top it off, he got 2 Novice High in Trials! I totally wasn't expecting all that but I'll take it

Here's a pic of him with all his ribbons, looking quite proud lol.
The quality of these videos aren't great but you get the idea. I didn't realize my mom's phone took awful videos. I'll have to let her use mine next time. Enjoy!

- we haven't done any of those type classes because we don't have very good distance skills. I'm always surprised when we do manage a little distance......
