Diva used to do it all the time. She rarely does it now. It was usually when she was on the edge of crazy. Like she couldn't decide if she should nip, bark or what.:lol:

The first picture she just got done tugging on the blanket at her feet and the second pictures she had taken a break from picking on the cat.:lol:

OMG that is just to cute.Wonder why Trapp never did it? I think it is a really cute thing,and I'm glad that someone else's babes do it. We kinda steer him to the water bowl,as I guess we thought his lips were stuck there.

Thanks for sharing those pictures.Diva was cutie,darn she was sweet as a puppy.Beautiful all grown up~

Diva is the only dog I've had that did that. I used to worry that she developing a bad bite but everything always lined up fine. She was a little imp though. The wheels turned fast as to what mischief she could find. Justice was a devilish pup too but he always had the wide open mouth look of bliss or gave the quick true sheepish smile.:smile2:

I've only seen Bailey do it when she's in a really playful hyper mood. She'll be chewing on a toy and then turn to me and her lips are all curled up. It's very cute actually. I've never seen another dog do it. Good to know Jasper and Diva do it too. She's been doing it since she was a puppy and still does it. I don't think I have a picture of it though.
 
We call this phenomenon "pooch lips" (on the pooches! :biggrin2:) Seems to happen when they've been playing a lot of tug of war. I think their gums just dry out a little and the lips stick a bit. It is really funny, though, huh?
 
Those pictures are adorable. Love his basketball--looks like he likes it too!

And Lexi does the lip curl, too. It happens when she is being coy/mischievous. Of course, she DOES have a bad bite, so her underbite really makes her teeth stick out when she grins. I'll have to get a picture.

Definitely means trouble with capital T for Jasper ;)
Toffee did that a little when he was a baby... and he certainly is FULL of it, and I love his mischievous self ;)
