Overdue hellos and greetings from Eastern PA! I just wanted to reach out and thank everyone for their help on the threads I have posted in the short time I've been on the forum and for all the other great things I have learned reading others threads.

You can so easily tell how kind each of you are and how much you love your shelties and animals in general. This shines through in all of the posts.

I am a second time sheltie mom and animal lover. Klee, our first furry baby, was a sheltie/border collie mix and lived a happy, long life with us. It took me quite a while to be ready for a new furry, but Brandy found us and is such a joy! She's is our only furry baby right now, but I hope to add to our crew in the future. I had bad asthma and allergies as a kid, so I was never able to have any furry faces growing up. I'm so glad I grew out of most of them and can enjoy the love of the long haired furry sheltie! I just want to learn all I can so Brandy lives the best life possible with us.

Thanks again and may all of our shelties and other furry faces live long and healthy lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :biggrin2:

Welcome to the Sheltie Nation! I hope that you are enjoying your time hear on the Sheltie Nation Forum.

I am from the Western side of NJ :biggrin2: Near Flemington.

AWelcome to the Forums!
also thanks for the kind words, this Forum has been super helpful to me as well.

What a great intro, when you think about how sad it must have been NEVER to have been able to have furry companions as a kid!!
I always say children who are allergic to pets are so deprived... I feel sorry for them and I am so glad you got over most of it!!!

welcome ....
as you have seen, the sheltie nation is very large "give and take group" of people. the wonderful thing is that when needed, the encouragement and knowledge is there for the taking and for as long as you need it. as equally wonderful, it also gives great opportunity to give to others what they need. it really is a special place this place called sheltie nation.:smile2:
