Paper Eater

For a long time, no magazine or book was safe in my house....to this day, they will occasionally indulge in a chew or two. TP was the worst. I would turn my back and Bacca would have TP'd the house!

If pup ate only purple bristle board, you could call him the "Purple Paper Eater"!:wink2:

They do grow out of it eventually. And as Chris says: It could be worse! My forever pup indulged one day on my living room couch, and when Bacca came home to me last year, he decided to finish the job!

Spencer isn't too bad with the paper products, but if I go out and forget to put the Kleenix boxes out of reach, he does have quite a good time with the tissues. I think it's pay back for my not taking him with me. I've do give him the cardboard roll from the inside of paper towels. They seem to really last a long time probably because he's more interested in chewing on a bully stick or a cow hoof (stinky) which he gets to do when we're in the same room so I can monitor things.

couple of pieces of junk mail on the floor (untouched) and somebody gets the bag off the chair with receipts inside. no actual evidence that the sheltie did it but the mix usually only goes for food bags...........................

Indy loves to eat dryer sheets too!

A funny story, a few months ago my neighbor marveled at how high she can jump. She's 14 pounds and can easily jump 5 feet straight up in the air. When he asked me how she jumps so high, I told him it's because she eats Bounce Dryer sheets! The look on his face was priceless!

Oh and technically she doesn't eat them, she just shreds them into teeny tiny pieces all over the floor. Why? I can't imagine that they taste very good!

That's a hoot!!!

Before reading this post I thought I had the only sheltie who liked to munch on dryer sheets. After being caught he tries to run away with it, but he always ends up tripping over the dryer sheet. He eventually drops the dryer sheet after a few failed attempts at "running" away. :rolleyes2:

That is a good question. No matter how careful we are Panda seems to find a magazine, a newspaper, a paper towel, a bounce sheet or something that I have to clean up and or chase her trying to get it off her. Mind you I think Bailey partakes in some tug of wars with her as well.

When Indy was young he was an absolute terror for shredding paper if left alone for the teeniest bit of time. He doesn't have that sort of anxiety now (he hasn't ever since my ex left the premises).

Angus and Figaro LOVE to shred paper, but they aren't doing it when they are alone in the house; they do it whenever then can get a hold of a napkin, kleenex, or paper towel. They don't seem to be interested in other types of paper and they don't do it when we are gone from home.
