My vet told me before I changed the pupeprs food from Nutro to Halo that a high quality food with the Omega 3 oils will help the coat a lot growing back in. I also found that if I had been rubbing puppers with some Cowboy Magic (which I use to brush them with ) and then brushing them daily it helps to stimulate the coat to grow a little faster,. I was always under the impression that pupper fur only grows so fast. Apparently I was wrong. I have a friend who isa a groomer and she told me a top quality food and some omega 3 oils really helps the coats grow back a little quicker

Chris I used to do the same thing. I used to put in a fish oil capsule and a flAxseed one. When I switched over to Halo I found out when looking at the ingrediants that it is loaded with and made from salmon. My dogs love it and their coats are amazing with it. Saves me a fortune and time getting their food ready.

Not to mention how adorable Shelties look all lined up in a row for "fish gum." :lol:
 
exactly Chris. We used to put the capsules right into their food and they would dig it out of the food and look like they were chewing gum. Now because it was such a treat for my FoxMan he insists on licking the oil out of tha bags when we dump the food into the cannisters. Here's a pic of FoxMan licking the bag clean

Do you mind posting the photo of your shelties shaved hair from Petco?
Y sheltie recently got shaved from a groomer and he has about an invh of hair all aroubd. He looks fuzzy like when he was a pup.
How long did iy take for your shelties hair to grow back?
