So this is a K9 sports sack. It has a zipper running down the length. You unzip, have your dog sit on it, put his paws through the arm holes, then zip it up.
I did put him in a regular backpack as a test, and I just lifted him up and dropped him in LOL

Actually, getting him into the pack is easy (for both of us). the surprising part is that, once he is in the pack, you need to pick it up and swing it over your shoulder.
Pico doesn't fuss, which is weird considering he is in odd positions and unsupported. same for taking the pack off. So trusting....
