So My Lyla has been having the poops for a couple days now, I waited to take her in to see if maybe it was just upset tummy or something but Yesturday... I had went to work for only 4 hours and I came home and she had had diarhea twice in her crate... So I got up this morning and took her in and they did a fecal test physical test and all and she is fine they did not find anything! So they sent me home with some metrondizole and some probiotic to sprinkle on her food. The vet also told me that if I mix a tablespoonful of can pumpkin in her food that will also help... I did not know that! Has any of you all had this issue with your babies? She is acting totally normal, playiong eating, drinking, etc... She has to get better its very hard with her being sick and then having 2 year old twins coming to tell me she had another accident!

One of our other members' dogs had diarrhea recently and pumpkin helped his poops. I've also had the same with my dogs. Actually, next time I'm at the store I plan to get some because I'm switching their food and they've been getting soft poo lately. Hope Lyla is better soon!:hugs

every doggie house must have canned pumpkin for poop emergencies :D
I have been known to use backed sweet potatoes in a pinch.

I will start mixing in food gradually as soon as the poop forms a bit.

Just make sure it is pure pumpkin, not pumpkin filling (which has the spices). Some of our pumpkin here in Ontario has squash in it - which my dogs just adore.
