Prayers for Shilo

My poor baby has been very sick for the last week, week in a half. She started with having the dirreara constantly for 3 days, then it qiut. But then she quit eating. I took her to the vet on Good Friday, they said according to the bloodwork, she has kidney disease. They gave me dry food and canned food, bones and 3 bags of IV fluid to give to her at home. She ate Saturday morning, Saturday evening( not much though) then Sunday morning only a couple of bites. Meanwhile, the dirreara came back, but not constantly. I called the vet on Tuesday and explained what was happening, including the fact that she threw up a couple of times as well. They told me to give her hamburger and rice or chicken and rice. I made her hamburger and rice-she never touched it. I don't know how to get her to eat...poor baby......any ideas?

Holding good thoughts for Shilo. Hope that she eats soon. Perhaps the diet change was a bit much for her. Try feeding small bits until she becomes accustomed. How about a little mashed sweet potato? I have found that my dogs have all liked it very much and I think it is better than rice.

Thank you. I will try some of the sweet potatoes, she always liked the bones. I tried small bites for her, but no interest. I hope she gets better soon. I will try again when I get home. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers

Katie, Laddie and I are sending prayers back to you and your baby girl. Have you tried baby food? Perhaps chicken or turkey? Might be easier for her to swallow and gentle on her tummy.

Poor girl did not eat anything last night, despite my attempts. I got her some baby food today, so I will see if she will lick that off a spoon. She is now throwing up also, which I believe is because of nothing in her stomache. She doesn't go back to the vet until the 10th. Thank you for the ideas! They are much appreciated.
