I brought my puppy home!
I didn't get my pup from the breeder I had been originally talked to , nor the color or gender I had picked out. Finances just weren't in the works to take extra vacation time to meet the first breeder I had talked to. Made me sad because we had talked so much, but hopefully I'll be able to meet her at ASSA next year.
We had planned to go to South Carolina to see family, and there I found a perfect breeder. I'm happy with the breeder we chose, you could tell she put a lot of time into her dogs. They were playful and happy, and had sheep all around them, which I'm sure is the perfect place for a Shetland Sheepdog. She didn't have any females or sables available, but I'm glad she didn't. Color or gender didn't restrict me from picking out the perfect puppy.
We decided to name him Baelish! We brought home a tricolor boy, who has a splash of merle patches on his hindquarters. His markings are very beautiful and distinct. His personality is very quiet, he likes to keep to himself, but he makes sure he's never out of my sight. Loves to cuddle with me to nap, and he's an extremely quick learner, who knows sit, come, and "follow me", within a week. I'm wanting to get Baelish into puppy classes soon, but he has to wait for his next k9 flu booster.
