Puppy Shedding!

Dash just turned 16 weeks on Saturday, and Monday night (I swear it was overnight) he started to shed. I've been brushing him and puppy fuzz is coming out and the adult hair is starting to come in. It looks like the adult fur will be darker than the puppy fuzz. I'm not worried about this at all, but I'm wondering if that's typical for a sables?

My previous sables got darker as they aged, but that was gradual not sudden like this. Plus, I got them all as adults so I never got to see what they looked like as puppies.

As I said, it doesn't matter at all to me. He'll be beautiful no matter what color his coat is.
 
It's hard to tell what color their coats will finally be from puppy fluff. The best way to predict your dog's coat is to look at his parents. The odds are if he's got dark coat coming in, there's a mahogany sable there or even a tri in his lineage. Ask your breeder if you haven't seen Dash's parents what color they are.
