Puppy shopping! Training to herd

Hello everyone! It has been so many years since I’ve been on the forum. Life happened, I got married, had kids and the list goes on and on. I had five beautiful shelties when I was an active member here. I only have one, Jody, and he’s an old man now. He was a puppy when I first joined over 12 years ago! It’s so good to see that the group is still active!

i’m now in the market for another puppy. I’m not in a huge hurry to get one, but I would like to be put on a breeders waiting list asap. I’m looking to get a puppy to train to herd small livestock animals. I have goats, sheep, chickens, and soon ducks! Does anybody know of a good breeder in the Texas/Oklahoma/New Mexico area?
 
So I really wasn’t expecting this so soon but I found a puppy!!! I honestly thought it may take a year or longer so I’m still wrapping my head around it! :eek2: It’s a little tri boy and I’m picking him up the second weekend of December. I am so so excited to meet him! :shameful:
