Question about grooming: tools, shampoo, conditioner, etc.

Thank you all for the great input!! Will definitely be looking into some Plush Puppy & some ice on ice. What does it smell like?? I am a big scents person, so have a hard time buying a shampoo or conditioner I can't smell.:wink2:

You probably would like the "Natural Conditioning Shampoo with Evening Primrose" Each shampoo has a different scent. If you go to a show where there is a booth set up... just stick your nose in the bottles and take a wiff.

All the shampoos that I've seen are all natural and can be used with most skin problems. But, they do have a sensitive skin shampoo too which should do fine with dogs with allergies.

I find the scent of most of their products last for several days.

So much information, glad I saw this post. Ice on Ice looks like a good thing to get for the girls and the Plush Puppy site what a lot of information on that site for grooming. I now have to sift through all of the suggestions posted on this thread and explore the different sites for availability in Canada.

Ren's Supply House and Pet Supply House both carry CC in Canada, although they sometimes seem to have supply issues

Thank you, I actually found a site out here in Abbotsford that sells CC products so I ordered a wooden pin brush and Ice on Ice.

FYI, it seems Plush Puppy is going out of business.

Have to Share

So I just did my first bath with Plush Puppy's Body Building Shampoo with Wheat Germ for my show girl who needs to grow coat. Oh my...it smells so fabulous I want to use it on myself!! If it didn't cost the earth, I probably would. But a little goes a long way and it does a wonderful job so I think it's worth it. I have to say I like it better than the Chris Christensen products, although it is (gasp) more expensive.

Thanks to those for the PP recommendation! What a find....

Ann glad to hear it works...I dont know anyone who used it. Did it make her look like she had more thicker coat? Any plans on her first show? although im sure she is reallllyyy naked right now though.

Fur is Flying...

She's still in the shedding phase, Lightplum. When I shed her today I swear I brushed out half a dog! :eek2: But we are getting there and yes, this shampoo did poof her up a bit. I also bought their volumizing cream that supposedly "makes 3 hairs look like 3000"! You just mix a spoonful with water and spritz. No estimate yet on showing...I'm hoping for fall but am just playing it by ear. Meantime I'm taking as many handling lessons as I can--she knows what she's doing but I need all the help I can get! :uhoh:

I looove the smell of PP. I water mine down 1:4 and then put it in a pump bottle. Can we see a photo Ann?
