Noah, Rabbit Run Face Value, who is also a Checkers kid (and Tansy's littermate) who will be shown by his mom Linda in Open S&W dogs on Friday! This will be Linda's first national as an exhibitor, too (I believe? correct me if I'm wrong!).

LOL Thats ok!! :) And I actually showed Molly at the 06 National...And you know how much I loved showing Molly, and how much she loved being shown:rolleyes2::lol: I kept telling her this week if she didnt behave I was going to bring her as well!!!:lol:
 
Oh! Thanks so much for the introduction to the adventure! It's always hard to keep track of who is who - particularly with you guys because you are all related either by human blood or sheltie blood!

Can't wait for the continuing saga.....keep us posted!

This is great, Megan. Thanks so much for giving us updates on how you and the whole Rabbit Run crew are doing at nationals. It's the next best thing to being there! Best of luck to everyone....:wink2:
 
The day got off to a great start. The alarm sounded and Ann and I were up and out. 7 hours of driving ahead of us. The GPS was smarter then us, and we followed it mindlessly. We arrived first at the hotel and unloaded all the bags that stayed there. Then, looking at my watch, I decided we should go straight to the airport for Megan, instead of unloading at Purina Farms. I didn't want to be late for Meg's plane. Ann and arrived with minutes to spare......maybe three or four. So we sat down and waited for her to emerge down the hallway.
While sitting there waiting, I looked up and saw a BIG digital clock. Actually, I looked at it several times. Then....it hit me! My watch was on EASTERN time, and the airport clock (and everything around us) was on CENTRAL time.
So, we had an hour to wait! It's not like we hadn't been sitting most of the day.
We arrived at Purina Farms, checked in, set up, and are ready for Futurity at 8am tomorrow. Oh BTW, the PF show complex is magnificant. They thought of everything. The lighting is perfect (my old eyes say thank you) for trimming heads. Somehow, I think I will be trimming a lot this week.
The venders seem to be top notch. Beautiful artwork.
And,It's fun to catch up with old friends! :yes:
 
Glad her hear all arrived safely!! My mom said to me earlier today, dont forget to change your watch there....I said I dont own one soo all good in that department :lol: atleast we'd be early for everything :)

Ive heard from several people there that the site is just beautiful!! I cant wait to see it tomorrow...and Noah said ohhhh noooooo the scissor hands are coming at me:lol:
 
Checkers and I are finally settling in for the night (already she's hogging the bed) and catching up on the tons of email I have to delete having not turned on my computer in two days! :rolleyes2:

I have to say Connie and Megan and The Best guides/mentors/hosts to show one the National ropes. Connie and I have been friends for three years now, and she knows me well -- she tipped me off while we were setting up to make sure I scoped out the vendors (who were also setting up for the week) and buy whatever I really liked tonight because tomorrow it might be gone! :eek2:

I am happy to report that I made you all proud by giving the plastic a good workout before the week has officially even started.... :uhoh: Oh my, the Sheltie stuff is not to be believed....:biggrin2:

Thanks to Megan for reporting on our great adventure. We'll be ringside tomorrow cheering for Izzy as she makes her debut (sans bib!) in the big ring! Go Izzy and Megan!
