Registered name help!

I'm hoping to pick up my puppy in the next few weeks:biggrin2:, so i'm starting to think of names now the part that takes the longest for me is the registered name.
My puppy will either be a tri or a blue merle (depending on temperament), so I was thinking something along the lines of Epic or Twix or Envy, but I would like to avoid ending in a "y" sound if possible.
As for registered names I've got nothing, so I'm ready to hear your ideas  I'd be willing to hear other names as well :smile2:

(i also hope I put this in the right place, I'm still learning)

Those are your call name preferences? It seems to me you name your pup whatever you want to call him. The registered name is where the "art" comes in--just ask Tabitha :biggrin2:
I had the registered name picked for my pup but the call name was escaping me. So I would say pick a call name first and worry about the registered name later!

Aaaaaah! No, don't ask ME! I'm having enough trouble picking Ida's registered name!

I agree that you need to focus on picking his call name first, you have a full year to decide on registration. For my last three dogs I've chosen names for them from a song that I feel connects me and the puppy.

I didn't give Ida Red that name for her red coat. That song is very happy and exciting, "Ida Red, Ida Red, I'm a plumb fool about Ida Red!" I was going nuts with excitement to get her. I couldn't wait to see her, and when I did I made a fool of myself making high pitch baby noises in front of everybody. So yes, I was quite literally a 'plumb fool' about her.

I was just picking out a handful of call names, so that when I got the puppy I could pick the name that fit the puppy best. With my last puppy I only had a couple weeks to come up with a name, and the breeder was annoyed that we took so long to come up with a name. So this time I wanted to have some picked out all ready so I'm not franticly trying to come up with a reg name

Tell your breeder to chill out:wink2: Seriously naming a pet should take as long as you need. It took me 3 weeks to name my cat. MY CAT! The name is going to be with that animal forever, it should be something that you love and matches the pet.

I have tons and tons of call names and registered names ready but it never fails I get the puppy and they don't fit for one reason or another. It took me until Birch was 8 months to pick his registered name and I knew him since the day he was born.
