I have had a rescue Sheltie for 5 yrs and I support my local Sheltie Rescue. You can not miss with a rescue Sheltie, they know thay have been given another chance and they show it.

I agree! My husband and I adopted our second senior sheltie last year from a rescue, and they have given us nothing but joy.
Snowy, our latest rescue(a deaf mute double merle), definately has some attitude!

Amen to That!

We just welcomed beautiful Annie Laurie to our family of two Shelties and two Collies (and one Chinchilla). Annie is the dearest five year old little girl -- she definitely knows she's been rescued into love.

The two shelties I've rescued have spoiled me! :biggrin2: They're older, and were already trained and well-behaved when we brought them home. Simply the best little furry kids you could ask for!

Three of our four

Three of our four are rescues that we kept! They are the best dogs ever and we love them to death!

There is something about rescue animals. Seems like they «know» they came this close to not getting a second lease on life, and they're forever grateful.

Hello Sheltie World.

While I support all rescue dog groups I even got my sheltie from a local rescue, I'm not happy with our local Sheltie rescue. Lots of miss info they gave me and lots of contradicting statements.

I've expressed my displeasure with them but I am soooooo happy with my K9. She is a crazy but we love her.

Tim-
Beamer is handsome! So many people shy away from adopting a senior. He looks so happy in the recent pic!

Another Sheltie Lover

Hi Snowy - how many shelties do you have? Are they all rescues? They know when someone has given them a safe and loving home. Its like they can't thank you enough.
