Meet Roxie

Roxie is a quiet, yes quiet, 6 year old sheltie. She is smart and likes to watch what is going on around her. She has been very well socialized and would easily fit in to most homes. Roxie likes to go for leisurely walks, but don't expect her to be a jogging partner. She is somewhat playful and enjoys her toys. When by herself with her people she enjoys to play a little fetch and catch. The rest of the time she likes to be close. She is fine to be home alone without concern. She does not like to get her feet wet when she has to go outside to do her business.

Roxie weighs in at 39 pounds and is on a weight loss plan. She is currently on prescription food and needs to be walked daily. She should weigh about 25 pounds.

Roxie came in with her non biological brother Carson. If they are adopted together there is a discount on the adoption fee thanks to the donation the owner who had to surrender them made. They came from a loving home. Circumstances caused the owner to let them go with hopes that they might be adopted together.

Meet Carson
Carson is a young 3 year old sheltie who loves to be close to his person. He gets along well with most dogs. He will chase cats! Carson really enjoys going for leisurely walks but needs to wear a harness. He knows basic commands and is crate trained. He is fine to leave at home alone. He really just needs to be in his own home and know that he is loved. He will open up more and be more playful once he feels that he is home.

Carson weighs in at 42 pounds and is on a weight loss plan. He is currently on prescription food and needs to be walked daily. He should weigh about 30 pounds.

Carson came in with his non biological sister, Roxie. If they are adopted together there is a discount on the adoption fee thanks to the donation the owner who had to surrender them made. They came from a loving home. Circumstances caused the owner to let them go with hopes that they might be adopted together.

Please get the word out so these two can stay together if possible...

Why do people love their pets to death with food? They are so overweight! They are very cute, well socialized, and relatively young, so I am hopeful someone will step up and adopt these two together. After all, we all know that Shelties are better in multiples!

Can any Virginia members here spread the word?

Thank you Gloria for posting this, we also have lots of non-members who check in on Sheltie Nation, so fingers crossed it will get spread far and wide!
