Sabrina, my alarm clock

Awesome news...... Sabrina stopped barking in the morning :smile2: She waits patiently for us to get up now. Unfortunately my labrador must be upset she isn't doing it anymore and has now taken over waking us up (w/o barking). Shelby, the lab, usually just puts her chin on the bed and pushes down lightly to get our attention. We usually tell her to go back to bed and she does. Now if the chin thing doesn't work, she puts her front paws up on the mattress and reaches over and licks us to wake us up. She did it to me, then went over to my husband's side of the bed and did it to him. Ugh, she knows better, she is 2yo. At least the startling bark is not occurring anymore. My husband is a happier person. lol

My neighbor who takes Sabrina out while we are at work said that she is the most mature 6mth old puppy she has ever met. She can't believe how smart and quick at learning things she is, and how her personality is so sweet.

Sabrina and Shelby were playing in the yard Monday morning and Sabrina came in with a 1" long deep cut on her leg. Took her to the vet and got 4 staples and the cone (of shame). Since she is wearing the cone, I have kept her loose in my kitchen/dining room and put the labrador on the other side of the gait. She wont fit comfortably in her crate w/ the cone. Sabrina has not had an accident in the house nor has she done any damage. I am amazed, especially because the Rimadyl shot and long lasting antibiotic shot gave her a horrible case of diarrhea and she still has not gone potty in the house. She holds it for the neighbor or for me to get home and take her outside.

I have to say I am loving my sheltie puppy!!!
