Sca has no sympathy

So I got a hold of some bad food and was up all last night. Now if I use the restroom Sca wants to come and see :rolleyes2: but when I was getting sick he would come to the door and look like "are you done yet?"

Well I finally got where I could sleep and about 2 hours later let him out for the morning. Did he think I was ill and cooperate? Heck no he still made me go get a cookie before he would come to the door.

I lay back down for 2-3 hours more then get up and let him in. He wants to play but I am just not able. So I feed him and go lay back down. After a bit he comes up and stares at me to be sure I am sleeping and not faking it (well I wasn't 'faking' but leave me ALONE). A bit later he comeback with the purple ball of doom and squeaks it a few time just to be sure I wasn't going to play.

So long about 1 I get up again as he is standing there pestering me again. So I figure maybe he needs to go out. Well, now he wants to chase which I am NOT going to do. Eventually he goes out and I jump in the shower and then off to the store.

Going to let him in now but I am tired out again and yes he will want to play instead of be lovable. Last night he didn't even stay on the bed, I guess my sweat smelled 'sick' and who wants to warm that right

No sympathy at all, I am just a biscuit dispensing frisbee launcher to him.

Unfortunately their life goes on when we are sick. If you have a Kong maybe that'll keep him occupied for awhile. I sure do hope you are feeling better soon. Food poisoning is no fun.:eek2:

You are not alone. Bailey has no sympathy for me when I'm sick either.

I had food poisoning a few weeks ago. While I was in the bathroom puking, I noticed Bailey run past the bathroom excessively squeaking her toys. Ten seconds later she ran by with my flip flop in her mouth. Another ten seconds pass and she comes running back again with my other flip flop in her mouth. A few more seconds pass and she is ringing the bell to go potty. I ignored her, so she came in the bathroom, looked at me questionably, barked once and then ran back to ring her bell.... sigh :rolleyes2:

AWE!! Well you have MY sympathy. Sca will get over himself and love on you when you smell normal. (Yay for showers!)

It's kind of like a man for you. You are starting to get sick and they don't really notice until you are curled in bed, sweating, with a 102 fever. But if they so much as sniff!!! Hehe... My DH isn't actually too bad if I say "Sweetie, I'm not feeling well." and then repeat it later with a "Soup sounds good about now..." Maybe someone needs to tell Sca that you just need some alone time? And then that person can play with him for you.

Sca is one spoiled boy!

I way home sick today with a head cold (feeling better now), but the boys stayed glued to me all day. Didn't ask to go outside even once. I guess I'm spoiled!

Tho' there was a fight or two over who got to sit next to me on the bed....Bacca won - as always! Indy was not gracious in his defeat!

p.s. sorry that you felt so awful. I've never had food poison but I've heard that its just nasty

You have my sympathies. I had food poisoning on Thanksgiving day 2 years ago. I thought I was going to die. Fortunately Angel was kind enough to lay in bed and watch over me. She didn't like me in the bathroom though. She barked her head off everytime I threw up. :rolleyes2:

Don't be to hard on Sca. Maybe he thought you would feel better if you played since he always enjoys it so much.

First of all, I hope you are feeling better!! Food poisening sucks!

Meggie definitely knows when I'm sad and is a good snuggle partner. But I don't know how she would be if I was throwing up. Cooper is a lover, so I'm pretty sure he'd be by my side, no matter what!

As far as having to go out, mine are PESTY about that. They are spoiled rotten!

Hope you feel better soon!

And I like Furmom's idea...maybe Sca was trying to cheer you up with a game of fetch?

Poor Sheep, sorry to hear you're sick... That would make one weak, for sure...
When I had pneumonia Toffee was very snuggly and kind... he even tried to rescue me from all the coughing and sneezing :rolleyes2:.... he would jump barking on my chest, I am sure trying to rescessitate me

Just don't try that lying on your stomach - Emma "helps" by jumping on the back. I think she is very confused and thinks she has to do the Heimlich manoveur for a cough.
