Sca is up to #75

Is it at Play Dog Excellent???? :) I'm painting the guest room this weekend, but PDX is a neat place! (guest arriving in 3 weeks, eek!!!)

My friend and I want to go sometime when there's a tournament at Shocco Springs. Not anytime in the near future.. maybe next year.

Yep come and watch! Bring Justus and show him the bark side :biggrin2: Guest will be happy to see you paint or not.

Why Shocco? It is nice for me with the RV but to be honest the area hotel is a flea bag and Talladega is NOT a nice town. Besides Clanton would be an hour closer to you. Nicer facility and sometimes runs two lanes. Town is nothing special but seems OK (I stay in the lot in the RV).

She said she heard good things about it, IDK. I can't remember the convo, but I'm pretty sure it was Shocco Springs she was talking about. Especially since she mentioned it was a Christian camp.

It is. Nice setup and if you were going there for a camp and about10-14 the place would be heaven. Lots of cool stuff. Also not bad but when you do flyball you are there all day then eat out so those matter the most

Sca is now #53 and top Sheltie in our district. If he behaves at the next tournament he might get into the top 50 :hugs Of course he was acting up at the last practice but I think it was all the props and stuff kicked in the Sheltie OCD a bit

Go Sca! Lose those pesky pounds, er, I mean gain those points! :P

Just curious, since it's been mentioned that maybe, just maybe, Spitfire will earn a point before he's 10, how do you earn points (I know nothing about flyball)?

I had to laugh about the bit where you need to walk him down the lane so he can vacuum up all the crumbs. I have to admit, as food crazy as Koji is, for the most part, he'd leave it alone when we'd be doing a run (agility). The one time he stopped to sniff the ground (in his entire career), I KNEW something super strong smelling and yummy had to be there. He would never stop otherwise. I was amazed because he sounds like Sca when it comes to food.

For every successful heat that is run you get points depending on the time.
Under 24 seconds- 25 pts
24-27.999 seconds- 5 pts
28-31.999- 1 pt
Anything 32+ you don't get points.

You usually set up teams to make sure they can at least get 25 point runs. And for reference, a 23.99 second team would mean that each dog would have to run ~6 seconds. Most dogs run much faster than that. Missy and Sca run in the 4's I believe.
