Shampoo?

Back in Black...hopefully!

I've always wondered about using products meant for black dogs on a black and white dog. Do you know if the shampoo will "smudge" the white? This may be a dumb question but I've always wondered....:biggrin2:

Linz, the shampoos that are for specific colors are meant to be used just on that part of the coat. When my Jewl was here, I used the white to keep her bib part of her fur white because it would turn yellowish every now and then. I really am not certain what it would do if you used it on the entire coat? I suppose if you are willing to take the chance , but I wouldn't.:uhoh:

Buddy Wash

I absolutely love Buddy Wash bar soap made by Cloud Star. It's a bar soap, which I never thought I'd like but I actually find it easier to use than juggling a bottle of shampoo. You can just lather up the dog's coat with one hand. It has great stuff in it, smells wonderful, rinses very easily and leaves the coat conditioned. It's not expensive, and a bar lasts forever! They also make it in a liquid form, but I am hooked on the bar soap. Here's a link for anyone interested :biggrin2:

I also tend to favour the Buddy Wash or EarthBath. The Oatmeal & Aloe EarthBath tends to work pretty well for the itchy skin.

There are tons of places to buy grooming supplies online so you don't pay through the nose, so spend a little time on Google and you should come up with something good.

I've only ever used spray conditioner on my dog to fend off the knots.

I use the white on white all over Layla. Her white is brilliant, and there's no effect on the sable, other than brilliant shine!

Thanks Chris for sharing !

It's good to know that it can be used over all of the dog. That's for the white, do you think it would be the same for the Black , that Linz was asking about ??:confused2:

Paul Mitchell

Paul Mitchell has a line of doggie shampoo and oatmeal conditioning spray that is amazing. Shelbie is SO soft and her coat looks fantastic:winkgrin:

Shampoo that smells good

Can anyone recommend a shampoo that also has a long lasting scent?

There used to be one that I really liked (can't remember what it was called), made the fur look very shiny, wasn't harsh on the skin and it smelled really good, the scent would last for a week or two.
