Sheltie Birthdays

Hello!

I'm not sure if we'll ever find my dog's potential siblings but he was born on 17 February 2009 and apparently came from Australia according to the pet shop but not sure how true it might be as we can't find the certificate they gave when we got him..

Hope to connect with any dog with the same birthday and hope this thread does the same to reunite other pups too!

Unlikely he came from Australia, Austn breeders avoid sending dogs overseas (if requires specific registration from Dogs Australia and our import/export is the strictest in the world), and they don't send puppies under 6mths and unaccompanied. Shelties are not a common breed here so you don't see them in puppy farms or backyard breeders, I'm afraid there's no profit in them (they are one of the cheapest breeds to buy here). Plus Australia follows British lines - petite, fine boned foxie dogs, so that would be an easy way to check if your dog is American lines, American dogs are more squarer in the head, muzzle and ear set. Funny they should use Australia as some sort of standard. Your dog is a good age - you are doing something right.
