Sheltie forgets her training

Stella has always been a good, easy to train dog. At two years old, she is suddenly forgetting her training. She is refusing to sit before we go out and has stopped coming when I call. It is almost like she is ignoring me when she doesn't feel like doing something.

The recall issue is my biggest concern. We have regularly walked he in the linear park off leash and she has always returned when called. today she ran of into the undergrowth for 10 minuets leaving me frantically shouting for her to come back.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
 
Can you teach her on a long lead... string even so she does not know you still have access to her? How about using REALLY high value treats... like chicken when you recall her?

I know how frustrating it can be when they will not have a bullet proof recall. You are wise to try and correct!
