My sweetie has over the last 2 weeks been sneeking and getting my husbands underpants and eating the butt out of them. She doesnt waste time getting them . She had a pair and had ate a huge hole in about a minute. She is only after my husbands. She leaves mine and my sons alone. ( son even forgets to pick up out of the bathroom )Could my husband be sick and we dont know it or is she just got a fettish for him? My husband feels like he needs to change soaps but I insured him it has nothing to do with that! I told him Id turn this over to the sheltie experts. I had a good laugh until my belly hurt the first few times but my husband is feeling alittle awkward now...lol how can you not laugh?

I can't tell you why, the others in the group will know more about "the why'" but I can sympathize with you, Cleveland would only chew up mine! I would have them in a laundry basket and he would dig through all the clothes till he found mine.

I suspect just a fettish.

I have a friend who has three Shelties, and one of hers is obsessed with HER panties. Every individual has their own unique body "odor" (good or bad) and I suspect your pup just particularly likes your hubbys!

It's an annoying habit for sure and tough to break unless you actually catch them in the act. The solution: super secure laundry baskets and diligence!

My 7 month old puppy Buddy has a thing about feet and sandals. He loves to search for toe jam between your toes and cleans them right up. He has ruined a couple of pair of sandals for my husband and I. If you have sandals on he loves to clean them up too! Lately, my husband and I have been looking for new front room furniture--we crack up everytime someone shows us a leather couch. And yes, he's also eaten holes in my husbands underwear. I'm glad it's my husband's because he's better about putting his underwear in the hamper than I am. Puppy love can be so disgusting!!

maybe he should change soaps, especially if it's not the same as everyone else's. (my mom's dog loved licking my dad's pillow until he changed his shampoo). it won't hurt to try but know that it's not going to make a difference after one day. if that doesn't work then maybe something is wrong with your hubby (crossing our fingers and paws that it's not it though).

I'm sure hubby doesn't think so. But I'm assuming it's something about his particular body scents that is attracting Buddy !! Good luck. Barb's suggestion would be my solution. Secure laundry hamper !

My husband has his garments on lock down over here! Cant stop laughing every time I think of it! I guess if it was mine Id be holding my head down in sheer horror! lol He would die if he heard me say this but it was for sure a Kodak moment! The look on Sweeties face when I pulled the shorts from her...omg She was like What? I couldnt scold her I was too buzy laughing!

Smudge likes to steal clothes, too. He doesn't have a preference though. He likes dirty clothes, clean clothes, socks, shirts, underpants, towels, ect. If they were being dragged into the living room while you had company it would be horrifying though.
