So I seem to have "inherited" my sons sheltie. He moved out and got a puppy to keep him company. Then he decided to move back in because it was no fun working all the time just to barely make ends meet. (He is in college full time now!)

I am just glad he brought home a four-legged baby instead of two-legged one!

We already had 2 dogs. One a lab mix and one a small mix breed (poodle something?). His name is Rambo and I started calling him Rambo the Rat because he was so tiny and with that long nose it just fit him. He is growing into his nose now though and his coat is getting longer. He really is a beauty. I think he is about 7 1/2 months old.

He has never been on a leash and that is my biggest priority right now. That and socialization. But he hasn't had his final shots yet so I am being careful about where I take him. His size is what makes it hard for me to know what to do with him. But he was really easy to housebreak so I think he will pick up on training quickly.

Is there a forum on here for basic puppy training questions?

I have a lot of questions about the breed so I will be spending a lot of time reading the current/past threads before I post a question that has been answered.

Oh and my keyboard has no comma thanks to Rambo leaping onto my lap and knocking that key off. So I have to apologize for run-on sentences!

Welcome to the forum! I have huge albums of pictures of my herd on Facebook, so if you are also on FB private message me here and I'll send you the links!

Welcome to the forum.

Ah yes inherited dogs. It's happened to me several times. That's the reason there is a Pom included in my signature.
