Sheltie in the news!

poor puppy :(
I know wii's can be dangerous. when we got our 2 years ago my son was bowling and the remote flew out of his hand breaking the screen on our tv. my daughter got knocked down by her grandpa when he was bowling and she ran in front of him.

wow! I can see how this happened.. Shadow will jump up and bark, whenever we play the Wii. Not just bowling, but any game that requires exagerated movements drive him crazy.

Ozzie is adorable. If he is anything like my FoxMan, this is just the beginning lol I am glad he is ok

ok I wanna know if mom knows what the breed of her Ozzie is. Whenever someone calls one of my shelties a "mini collie" I am correcting them emphatically. I guess I need a life

Wow! :eek2: What a timely warning. I gues you really forget everything with that Wii.

Thank heavens for mouth-to-snout resucsitation.

Poor little Ozzie!!
And this is reason number 1, 382, 347, 275, 936, 830 why I abolutely dislike video games! LOL

I know how that is!! When I was waiting to bring Caliber home the breeder had warned me that I would become very "protective" of the breeds name, and I always said nawww, it's just a misunderstanding to people who are uninformed...I'm sure it won't bother me! So, uh, yeah - I was wrong. I find I'm ALWAYS correcting people. At least 95% of the time! When he was 10 weeks, I had some guy approach me on the street saying how cute he was and such, and then he goes "But uh...he's a LITTLE to young to be wheened tho, don't you think?" I replied with a short and powerful "No, he's 10 weeks.", when he said "Well, that's a really small dog...he's a Collie, right?" hahahahahahaha!! I was like "No, he's actually a Sheltie", he continued with his less then knowledgeable ability to take this new information in and replied with "Ooooooooooooooooooooooooh, so a minature collie!!!!" lol I then said "No....a SHELTIE.....a Shetland Sheepdog - they're two totally different breeds." He then smiled and walked away. haha This happens often, as there aren't many Shelties in our area - altho I have seen a few in the last month or so.......maybe I started a new trend! Go Shelties Go!! Look out Niagara Falls - we're about to be out numbered and outsmarted by a Sheltie Nation of our own. These people have NO clue what they're getting themselves into!!

Poor little guy, I'm glad he pulled through. Its easy not to realize what we're doing and who's around us when playing video games.

I get the "Look, it's a little Lassie!" :rolleyes2: The best compliment I got for Max was from a guy who went to Texas A&M.. Their Mascot is a Collie named "Reveille". They have had Collie mascots since the late 30's. But the 2nd Reveille was a Sheltie. The guy told me he would have been proud for Max to be a "Reveille". :smile2:

Yeah..."Little Lassie" is one I hear often too. I just laugh mostly now. The breed is unfortunately so unknown in some places that you just have to go with it...whatever they can understand I suppose. I mean, I don't wanna go through history and explain the WHOLE story...so if "little Lassie" or "Mini Collie" is the extent they understand, then....ok! :rolleyes2:
