Hi folks,
I am proudly owned by Lucy, who will be two at the end of April. Lately she's been having some problems with her legs. A few weeks ago she started holding up her back left leg and hopping. It wasn't constant and would come and go. I took her to the vet and found out that her left knee pops in and out of joint. The vet said it was common and would go back in on its own. Lucy figured out to sit when it happened and she would be fine in a second or two.
When I got home from work Friday, she was badly limping, but this time it looked like her right back leg was hurt. I took her to the vet again. This time, all the joints were in the right place. The vet thinks she hurt herself running in the yard. She's on bedrest. No walks, no stairs, no jumping, etc. Poor Lucy is trying to figure out why I'm punishing her. She's better, but not fine. She's so young to have these problems. Is this common in the breed?
