Hello Everyone!
I just found this site and am so happy to see so many sheltie lovers!

I have had shelties since 2 years old. I'm an only child- so my first sheltie I was soooo close to!

And all my shelties have names that begin with "S"

Sergei was my first from 4-18 years of age
Sampson I got after College when I met my boyfriend- now husband
Sterling- we got 4 years after Sampson
Sophie- we got 2.5 years ago
Spencer - we got 2 weeks ago!

We currently have Sterling (11), Sophie (2.5) and Spencer (14 weeks).

We ADORE them! They are our kids!
Sterling and Sophie are blue merles, and Spencer is Sable (like Sampson and Sergei were)

Sampson passed away 2 years ago and since then I've felt a void in my life for a sable sheltie. Since we got Spencer 2 weeks ago- I feel re-born to have this little sable one again. I feel like our family is complete!

I'm happy to have found this community and look forward to learning a lot and contributing!

My shelties are

Looking forward to hearing more about your shelties and we loved pictures.

Welcome to the Forums!

Sounds like you've had a great group of Shelties and all with such cute names. We'd love to see pictures of them all!

That's exciting about your newest member! I'm about to get a pup in a little over a month from now. You must still be going through house training. Can't wait to "meet" your shelties and hear how they're doing!

Welcome to the Nation!

Shelties since the age of 2? I'm jealous!
My wife & I bought a house 16 years ago -no kids -we both grew up with dogs -I had lived kind of a nomadic life from age 16 to 35 or so.
So, we decided to get a dog at the local shelter.
The one rule was -no small dogs -no long haired dogs. (what a laugh -I had no idea of the power of Shelties!)
We went to the pound (Dog Orphans here in town) -I took one look at Joy -she took one look at me -she walked to the front of the pen & wagged her tail & I was toast. The attendant was surprised -said Joy had been very aloof & timid with just about everybody until I showed up. She was obviously waiting for me & is without a doubt -my Heart dog:smile2:

now we have 4 -go figure....
