Both my past Sheltie and new sheltie, love the snow. Smokie loved to eat it, he would play and run in it. Spice got her first experience with snow last week. She had a ball. she sticks her nose in the snow up to her ears. Spice is the same way as Smokie was. Now the question how are your shelties in the snow? Both mine where from a warm area. Smokie came from a breeder in NM. And Spice is from CA.

My two love snow. We always joke about snow cookies falling from the sky because they will put nose to the ground to scoop up the snow. They also will lay in snow banks in the back yard and rest. The only challenge they have is going to the bathroom when it snows. DH digs a square path for them to run in when the banks get high and this prevents them from sinking in the snow when squatting. Other than that they love jumping through the snow no matter how deep. That being said we have the same problem when the grass gets too tall. They don't like being poked while peeing and pooping.

Snow and shelties are like hot chocolate and marshmallows. My shelties LOVE snow, the only time they don't is when the chill factor is harsh, then they get frozen paws and act like their world is coming to an end. They snow dive, snow bounce, snow tumble and dig. Snow is an event for the girls. All my girls came from CO, so they knew all about snow growing up.

Amber loves the snow. She will put her nose into the snow and push it around like a snow plow. She also likes to bite/eat the snow.
