Today was the Southern Indiana Kennel Club's sanctioned B match. I was going to take a couple of dogs, but since I didn't get started bathing and grooming last night until 7pm, decided to just do one. I ended up taking Torrence. She is getting in so much coat. It makes it really easy to make her look good for the show. It's much tougher with dogs who don't have much coat. Anyhow, I got her all trimmed up, and by the time she was done, I was just worn out.
Shelties were the last group, and last breed of the day. After tons of waiting around, Torrence went up against a bi-blue bitch in puppy 6-9, won that class, then went back in against a bi-black bitch from the 9-12 class, and the dog from the 6-9 class. She ended up taking puppy BOB! This was not light competition she was up against either. Both the male and the bi-blue have won best puppy in show at UKC shows, and the bi-black is already a UKC champion, so this was quite an accomplishment!
We ended up going in for herding puppy group, but by then, Torrence was just worn out. We'd been there AAAAALLLL DAY, and it was a lot for a puppy. Normally when I show her, she is very focused, and ready to move out. In the group ring, she just wasn't her normal self. I think she was just too tired by that point. It's okay though. It was still a very good day for her.
Next stop for Torrence is the Louisville March cluster. I'm still debating on if I'm going to enter her in amateur/owner/handler, or puppy bitch 9-12. I'm very excited. Torrence has always been a nice puppy, and as she grows up, is really turning out well. I get a lot of compliments on her. Hopefully things will keep going this well for her.

wish me luck, I'm heading to Erie, PA next weekend with my little tri bitch, Nakita. This will be her first AKC show and she gets...uh...a little too happy...or 'hoppy' LOL If she moves properly, we should do well. Also, my first show in Shelties after the accident with Razzle

Wish mine was big enough to show she is in full coat....you dont even have to add anything to her and it stands correctly...its disgusting...meanwhile my show girl is soo sparse you can see her skin....ggrrrrr. Im hoping by april to be hitting the shows again..I miss it!
