Looked down at the hem of my pajamas. Another thing chewed. Same with the straps on my shoes WHILE I WAS WEARING THEM. This is getting ridiculous. If Blaze is quiet for more than a few seconds at a time (or even if he's not that quiet and he's walking with me...) Well the ice cubes helped a little last night. Same with the cold wash rag this morning. He has multiple missing teeth already so the others he has must be doing double duty! Poor thing AND my poor belongings.

Sorry... I had to laugh as I read about your PJ's altered hemline. It reminded me of the day our Yoda ate a cuff off my husband's shirt as I was ironing it. We didn't even realize he had done it until my husband put his shirt on to go to work and discovered one much shorter sleeve!

We had to keep an extra close watch on Keiran while teething and it felt like we were constantly correcting and substituting with him.

If you can't watch him, he should be confined to a crate or x-pen. ALWAYS carry a toy or chew (like a bully stick) on you. when he begins to chew on things he shouldn't correct him and redirect him to what he can chew on. You really need to watch them closely or things will get damaged.

This too shall pass, I promise.

'Tis funny, but I know the feeling. Makes me feel better to know that this has happened to others.

Vet said (last puppy shots so now only have to wait one week to allow Blaze to have little paws on ground and not just in our backyard) that this shall last for only about two to four months more, so there IS a light at the end of the tunnel (and it's not just another train coming at us.) :fl

Our puppies over the years have had a taste for different off-limits items. Sheltie Angel Bandit loved the leather laces on LL Bean shoes but, in a pinch, would chew on other leather shoe parts.

Sheltie Angel Ivy loved chewing on rugs. I still look fondly at a corner of my family room rug that she gnawed on.

Barkley loved chewing wall board. My bathroom will never be the same.

Pixie savored dog beds, cardboard boxes and other paper products like newspapers before DH read them. She especially enjoyed shredding the foam innards of any dog bed, pillow etc. At age 10, she will still occasionally graze on wastebasket kleenex.

Ruffles is the worst. She's a plant carnivore. I am constantly watching her because she will eat ANY leafy or flowering thing. Many of the outside ones are definitely not good for her. I thought she'd outgrow it but, alas, at nearly 2, she still snacks on plants.

So take heart, Jean. It could be worse. And sometimes... :wink2: it does pass! :fl

Other than during puppy teething I haven't had any issues with Hanna chewing stuff she shouldn't ( same with my last sheltie). Miss Mulligan the kitty however, is a holy terror! She has ruined my jewellery box and many of my books have corners nibbled off. I learned to put away anything leather. :gaah

:yuckyuck And ditto here! ROTFLMBO!

Over the past few weeks Keiran has shortened the shoe laces on hubby's shoes, destroyed a fitbit flex wristband (thankfully NOT the device itself), dragged socks all over the house, destroyed an eyeglass cleaning cloth, ate the rubber ring off his food bowl, tried to open packages that came in the mail by destroying the cardboard, picked up numerous things off the floor that made me go "where did you find that" (the most puzzling being a 35mm film canister with a new roll of film in it - I haven't shot 35mm film in about 10 years) and I'm sure there are other things I can't think of

We do our best to contain him to where we can watch him but sometimes we oops and he gets a bit more roaming than he should. I keep reminding myself he will eventually grow up. Gee I hope the UPS truck arrives with his brain sooner rather than later.
